My Jobs
See every job you're assigned to, work them in order, and record what you did — start/stop your timer, add materials and photos as you go, take payment if your workspace allows it, and complete the job when it's done.
Who can use it — Anyone with the Trade Pack "work assigned work orders" permission. This page is part of Trade Pack, an optional add-on — it only appears in workspaces that have it turned on. If your workspace runs Trade Pack on its own (no civil suite), My Jobs is your home page — you land here straight after login instead of a Dashboard.
Where to find it — Trade Pack → My Jobs in the sidebar.
How to use it
Jobs are shown as cards, one per job, in a two-column grid on desktop (single column on mobile). Only jobs assigned to you show up here, and only once they're active — Dispatched, In Progress, or Completed. Jobs still at Draft, Quote, or already invoiced/closed don't appear. Cards are sorted by scheduled start time, soonest first.
Each card shows:
- Job number and a status badge (Dispatched / In Progress / Completed).
- A priority badge (Low, Normal, High, Urgent).
- The job title.
- The customer name and the scheduled start date/time.
The buttons available on a card depend on the job's current status.
Starting and stopping work
- Start — appears on Dispatched or In Progress jobs. Tapping it opens a timer against you and the job, and if the job was still Dispatched it moves to In Progress. You can only start a job you're actually assigned to, and if your workspace has the one-timer-per-worker rule on (the default), you can't start a second job while another timer is still running — stop it first.
- Stop — appears whenever you have a timer running on that job. Stops the timer and records your hours.
Adding materials
Add material (Dispatched or In Progress jobs) opens a small form: Material description, Quantity, and an optional Unit (e.g. "ea"). Materials you add are saved as drafts against the job for the office to approve later.
Adding photos
Add photo (Dispatched or In Progress jobs) lets you upload a Photo (JPEG, PNG, WebP or HEIC, up to 10MB) and tag it with a Stage — During or Completion. Photos are stored privately against the job.
Recording payment
Record payment only appears if your workspace has field payment capture switched on (in Trade Pack Settings) and you hold the record-payments permission — and only on In Progress or Completed jobs. Fill in the Type (Cash, Card, EFTPOS, Bank transfer, Cheque, Other), the Amount, Received at, and optional Notes.
Completing a job
Complete appears once a job is In Progress. Before it will let you finish, stop any timer you still have running on the job. Then fill in:
- Work performed — a summary of what you did (required).
- Works completed — toggle on if the job is fully done.
- Remaining work — if you turn "Works completed" off, describe what's left; this becomes required.
Submitting moves the job to Completed and records the completion time. From there the office takes it through invoicing — you won't see it on this page once it moves past Completed.

Tips & common mistakes
- Can't see a job you know you're on? It's probably still at Draft or Quote — it only shows here once it's Dispatched.
- Start button missing or won't work? You likely already have a timer running on another job — stop that one first.
- Complete button won't submit? You must describe the work performed, and if you've marked works as not fully complete, you must also describe what's remaining.
- No Record payment button? Field payment capture isn't switched on for your workspace, or you don't have the permission — ask your office.
- Job disappeared after you completed it? That's expected — Completed jobs still show briefly, but once the office moves it to Ready for Invoice it drops off your list.
